Question 1

How do I get an estimate?

Accepted Answer

We provide complimentary in-home consultations for a thorough assessment of your needs. If you already have measurements of the area you want to cover, we can often provide an initial ballpark price. Fill out our estimate form or call (713) 893-1915.

Question 2

How much does a patio cover or pergola cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is customized and depends on the size of the area, the complexity of the design, and the materials and features chosen. We'll give you a written proposal after reviewing your space.

Question 3

Do I have to go through my HOA for a pergola or carport?

Accepted Answer

In most HOA communities, yes — approval is a necessary step. We can help prepare what your HOA requires to keep the process smooth.

Question 4

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product, size, permits, and HOA approval. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your proposal.

Question 5

What's the difference between a pergola and a patio cover?

Accepted Answer

A pergola has open rafters that create filtered shade; a patio cover has a solid roof that blocks sun and rain. A louvered pergola can do both.

Question 6

Do louvered pergolas keep the rain out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Louvered systems are designed to open and close, so you get protection from both rain and sun when closed.

Question 7

How long do louvered pergolas last?

Accepted Answer

In our experience, a louvered roof system provides more than two decades of reliable weather protection. Manufacturer warranties cover various components.

Question 8

What are the benefits of louvered pergolas?

Accepted Answer

Control over sun and shade, protection from weather, long-lasting durable cover, and — on select systems — smart controls with wind, rain, and temperature sensors plus lighting options.

Question 9

Is an insulated patio cover worth it?

Accepted Answer

For a patio you plan to use often in Houston's heat, insulated panels help reduce radiant heat and give a finished ceiling. We won't promise a specific temperature drop, since results depend on your site.

Question 10

Can pergolas withstand high winds?

Accepted Answer

We can engineer and build structures to meet the specific wind-load requirements of your area. We'll discuss the requirements that apply to your project.

Question 11

How much maintenance do aluminum structures need?

Accepted Answer

Very little. Rinse occasionally, keep gutters clear, and check fasteners periodically. Aluminum doesn't rot or need repainting like wood.

Question 12

What warranty applies?

Accepted Answer

Warranty coverage depends on the product. Our current site references a two-year leak warranty on qualifying insulated aluminum projects, manufacturer limited lifetime warranties on certain products, and a one-year warranty on screens. Exact terms are confirmed in your proposal.
