About us
Decades of Experience Covering Houston
A family-owned company building patio covers, pergolas, and canopies for Houston homes, schools, and businesses.
Our story
Built on hands-on experience
Kool Covers founder Jorge Arredondo began as an independent contractor in 1976, installing aluminum and steel canopies in the Houston area. That experience led him to establish Kool Covers in 1996.
Today the company is owned and operated by Jorge and his three sons, working across Texas and Louisiana. Kool Covers installs canopies for HISD and KIPP Academy schools and has extensive experience with residential projects throughout Greater Houston.
When Hurricane Katrina devastated Louisiana in 2005, Kool Covers was there in the heart of the state, helping homes, churches, and businesses rebuild — with canopies, decks, additions, and remodeling. In 2000, Jorge also founded A.J. Construction, a general contracting company offering a range of construction services.
